James McCallum has quickly risen from Rapha Condor new boy in 2011 to becoming one of the teams established elder statesmen.
McCallum has enjoyed some of his most consistently strong seasons with the team, developing from a pure crit racer into a strong road rider. In 2012, as well as taking the Scottish Road title, he put in one of the finest performances of his career in a freezing wet East Midlands Classic to finish third, and take his first ever UCI podium place.
As well as many important victories on the road, James is also an accomplished rider on the track. Having representing Scotland three times at the Commonwealth games and taking home a bronze medal in the scratch race in the Melbourne Games in 2006. He is currently working towards his times for selection for the Scotland team for his ‘home’ Games in Glasgow 2014.
