Team build up for Tour of Britain · 27/08/10

Next week the team travels to Belgium as part of their build up to the Tour of Britain.

Kristian House, Jon Locke, Dan Craven, Ben Greenwood, Matt Cronshaw, Zak Dempster, Graham Briggs & Darren Lapthorne shall take part in the Pro Kermese events in Geraadsbergen on the 1st of September then Kortemark on the 2nd.

The Geraadsbergen event is over 168km based on 17 laps of a 9.8 km circuit and takes place on the lower slopes of the famous Mur Van Geraadsbergen. Although not a UCI ranked event this event always attracts a good entry and shall see the comeback of Riccardo Ricco riding for the Dutch Vacansoleil team.

The following day in Kortemark the Team races over 165km based on 14 laps of 11.8 km circuit, this event should be pan flat with the usual strong crosswinds causing the main problem!

Friday the 3rd shall see the riders taking in a training ride around the Tour of Flanders roads.

Arriving in Belgium on the 31st Aug, Oudenaarde shall be the base for the team during this stay. Any members from Belgium, Holland or in the area on holiday are welcome to watch the races.
