FBD Ras, Ireland - Stage 3 Update · 20/05/09

It was another good day for the Rapha-Condor team at the Ras stage race in Ireland.

The boys were in most of the good breaks during this long 189km stage which included two 1st Category climbs. At one point four of our riders were in the front group. In the end Chris Newton made the final selection, but was pipped at the line by former Tour de France stage winner (four times) Jaan Kirsipuu.

Chris has now moved up on GC from 14th to 9th overall. Simon Richardson remains in 2nd position on GC and Darren Lapthorne also keeps his place in 5th. Rapha-Condor re-enforced their position as the leading team. That means three of our riders are in the top ten – not a bad start!
