Club Member’s Easter Weekend in Scotland
3rd to 5th of April, 2010

Available to Pink and White Stripe members and their partners or guests

Join the Rapha Condor Sharp team for a weekend in the unspoilt town of Dumfries in South West Scotland, and watch them in action over the three days that make up this grueling and highly exciting stage race.

Accommodation for all members will be at the Cairndale Hotel in the centre of Dumfries, which is the base of operations for the entire Tour. Pink Stripe members can spend time with the team and see how they prepare for racing. Three Team Car Days are available for Pink Stripe members to follow the action on the stages.

One of the toughest road races in the UK, the Tour of DoonHame (formally the Girvan) celebrates its 41st anniversary this year and the Elite peloton will race over 250 miles of scenic Scottish countryside. Last year saw Kristian House taking third place on two of the stages and 6th overall. 2010 will see the Team sending a strong contingent of eight riders, anxious to take a podium place.

There are three stages of the race this year:

Pink Stripe members will have exclusive access to the Team throughout the weekend and rides will be led by Rapha Condor for all members on all or part of each day’s route.

Accommodation is three nights in the prestigious Cairndale Hotel (2-4 April 2009), with breakfast and three course evening meals along with full assistance from the Club Secretary. More information on the Tour of DoonHame is available here.

Itinerary (TBC)

Friday 2nd April – Arrival in Dumfries at the Cairndale Hotel with an afternoon ride over the next day’s route. Dinner at the hotel in the evening. Members are issued with a Rapha Bonk Bag and Team cap containing items from Rapha and Condor.

Saturday 3rd April – Morning ride in the area and viewing of the race from the start/finish line in Dumfries – Team car day for one Pink Stripe member – Dinner in Dumfries with the Team for Pink Stripe members

Sunday 4th April – Early morning ride to Castle Douglas to watch the finish of the second stage. – Team car day for one Pink Stripe member – Club dinner at a restaurant in Dumfries

Monday 5th April – Early morning club ride in the area – Watch the Tour finale and podium ceremony in the afternoon.

*Please note that these packages are subject to a certain number of places being taken and may be cancelled if these requirements are not met. The Club Secretary will keep members informed via the Club newsletter.
