Located just half an hour from the Mediterranean Sea and less than twenty minutes from Béziers, our late spring training camp is based at the immaculate Chateau de Lignan, displaying a fine example of French hospitality. Designed to be an enjoyable week away with or without partners, the camp will have something for everyone: daily vehicle-supported training rides in the region and for members and partners who wish to relax, there will be wine-tasting, historical tours and the sampling of French cuisine and culture at the Chateau and surrounding area.

Languedoc-Roussillon countryside

Languedoc-Roussillon is one of the most perfect regions in France for cycling with amazing scenery, great weather and challenging topography. Our knowledgeable guide will lead rides over the best routes available, averaging between 100 and 160km a day with plenty of mountains designed to test even the hardiest of climbers. Groups will usually be split into two levels of ability and a support car will be following the riders for mechanicals, food and drinks.

The Chateau sits majestically amid vineyards and the warm landscape of the Languedoc region, between the sea and the Lespinouse Mountains. Built in the 9th century and sitting in a large park with 300 year-old Lebanese cedar trees, the Chateau has managed to preserve the uncluttered beauty of its past as a fortress. Fully refurbished, it is now a well-appointed hotel regularly hosting professional cycling teams during the Tour de France.

HOW TO GET THERE:

Air: airports within easy reach include Béziers, Carcassonne, Toulouse, Montpellier and Perpignan.

Train: There is a train station at Béziers which links to the TGV
