With an exciting domestic British women’s season drawing to an end, and off the back of a great performance in the Tour Feminin Krasna Lipa, the Rapha Condor Women’s team have secured a place in two of the top European stage races, The Holland Ladies Tour and the Tour de l’Ardeche.

Rapha Condor Summer Race Series Wrap-up · 20/07/10
The Race Series finished on a high note this weekend with Lewis Atkins (Orbea) comfortably finishing in the E/1/2/3 bunch with enough points to land himself the overall win without winning a single race, proving that consistent high finishing is enough to clinch the league. Special congratulations should be made to Germain Burton of De Ver who came fifth in the league after competing in only two of the six events and at the age of fifteen. One to watch for the future!

Tour de Feminin Krasna Lipa · 14/07/10
Rapha Condor Women formed a composite team in their first major international outing. The team of five riders with two assistants flew to the Czech republic for a 5 day stage race in hot conditions competing against some of the continents top full time female riders.

Another scorching day for racing and more dramatic action on the Hog Hill circuit saw Charlotte Blackman winning the Women’s race with a solo breakaway in the last minutes and Dom Martin winning the 3/4 race with a move on the final lap up the hill.
Blackpool Nocturne 2010 - 21 August · 02/07/10
Rapha Condor Club is pleased to offer VIP hospitality tickets for the final event of this year’s Nocturne Series. Members can also make a weekend of it, with special discounted accommodation, dinner and a club ride on the morning of the Nocturne.

Rapha Condor women rode in the British Road Race Champs on the weekend. Unfortunately , Claire, Ang and Cath were all caught up in a major front group crash.

With many riders arriving to contest points at Hog Hill this weekend, heated battles ensued, especially in the E/1/2/3 race at the end, making for a dramatic day of racing in temperatures soaring over the 30 deg C mark.
Pro Tour Cycling Stars line up for Edinburgh Nocturne · 25/06/10
More Pro Tour cycling stars are confirmed to race the second edition of the Edinburgh Nocturne on 3rd July.
HTC-Columbia’s Matt Goss, Saxo Bank’s Jonny Bellis and Russell Downing of Team Sky will join Garmin-Transitions riders Cameron Meyer and Luke Durbridge, who were confirmed earlier this month.

The summer club ride started early on a cool, breezy morning outside Barnet Cinema with 16 Club members turning up for a 90-mile ride in the Chiltern Hills and Hertfordshire. The plan for the day was to split the ride in two ability levels, but everyone managed to stay together until the lunch stop with 50-miles covered.

The third round of the series was run clockwise seeing riders descend the major climb at Hog Hill completing the full bottom circuit before ascending a climb, make a short descent and completing the climb before riding across the finish line.

Lincoln Grand Prix Club Weekend 8-9 May 2010 · 18/03/10
Voted as the UK’s favourite one day classic, the Lincoln GP is one of the toughest events on the British Cycling calendar and recently synonymous with a string of victories from the Downing brothers, Russell and Dean.
Cobbled streets and short, steep climbs make for exciting racing in this battle of the tough men and Rapha Condor Club members will have ringside positions overlooking the finish line in this 11-lap, 86-mile televised event that attracts the crème of the racing crop. The Rapha Condor Sharp Team will have a strong contingent of 3 previous winners: Chris Newton, Kristian House and most recently, Dean Downing.

Although you cannot carry everything in your kit bag to a race or event, carrying a small, basic, get out of jail bag of common and easy to carry bits could save your ride. In the case of Mark, he broke his seatpost clamp just before the Etape and unable to find another in the correct size couldn’t start (another tip idea I have from this is the use of a torque spanner on the modern bike).
